Comfy Elle (comfyelle.com) sells washable leak-proof underwear online to customers in Australia. Your privacy matters to us, and we know the products we sell are personal. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we look after it. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

The short version

We only collect what we need to take your order, deliver it and look after you.
We never ask about your health, and we never sell your personal information.
Your parcel arrives in a plain mailer, and what you bought stays between you and us.
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time.

What we collect

Contact and delivery details: your name, email, phone number and addresses.
Order details: what you bought, sizes, order history, refunds and size swaps.
Payment details: payments are processed securely by Shopify and our payment providers (such as PayPal). We never see or store your full card number.
Messages: anything you tell us when you contact us.
Website and device information: your IP address, browser and device type, and how you use our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

About your health

Buying Comfy Elle does not require you to share anything about your health, and we don't ask. If you choose to tell us something personal in a message, we use it only to help you, and never for advertising.

How we use your information

To process your order and payment and arrange delivery.
To handle size swaps, refunds and questions.
To send order and delivery updates.
To send marketing emails or texts, only if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To keep our store secure, prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations.
To understand how our website is used, so we can improve it.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences and measure our website and advertising. Advertising partners such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google may receive information about your visit through cookies and pixels, so we can show relevant ads and measure whether they work. You can control cookies in your browser settings and manage ad preferences in your Meta and Google accounts.

Who we share it with

Only the people who help us run the store, and only as much as they need: Shopify, which hosts our store and processes payments; payment providers; our fulfilment and delivery partners; email and customer-service tools; advertising partners as described above; and authorities if the law requires it. We never sell your personal information.

Information stored outside Australia

Comfy Elle and some of the service providers we use are located outside Australia. Your information may be stored or processed overseas, including in Canada and the United States (where Shopify and many of its partners operate) and in the countries where our fulfilment partners are based. We take reasonable steps to make sure these providers protect your information.

Keeping your information safe

Our store runs on Shopify's secure platform and checkout is encrypted. We keep your information only for as long as we need it for your orders, our legal and tax obligations, or to resolve any problems.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to see the personal information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, delete your information (unless we need to keep it by law), or stop sending you marketing. Just email us. We'll reply within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please email us first and we'll do our best to fix it. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
